TRING 313 FAQS
1. What is Tring 313?
Tring 313 is a mobile application that brings users a revolutionary service that utilizes location-based targeting technology. It is available on iOS devices (iPhones, iPods and iPads) and helps users discover exclusive offers and promotions from over 170 retailers within 313@somerset, within walking distance from your current location. 

2. How do I download it?

Tring 313 is available for download from the Apple App Store. Visit the Apple App Store via your iOS device by tapping on the ‘App Store’ app, or go to the App Store within iTunes, and search for ‘tring’. 

Download the app and if via a desktop/laptop, sync your device to ensure that Tring 313 is available on your mobile device. You will be required to launch Tring 313 at least once to ensure that you receive location-targeted offers within 313@somerset. 

3. Does Tring 313 cost anything?
Tring 313 is FREE to download, browse offers/deals and to receive application alerts. Once the app has been installed in your iOS device, you will be able to search for offers/deals that you would like to download/purchase. Payment can be made through PayPal or Credit Card. 

4. Is there a similar Android App available for download?
At the moment, Tring 313 is only available for Apple iOS 4 and upwards platforms.

5. What is the difference between Tring 313 and other apps which offer similar offers/deals/discounts?
Unlike other generic deals apps, Tring 313 is exclusive to 313@somerset. It brings together all the best offers/deals from retailers within 313@somerset and consolidates them for easy viewing by users.

6. How do I view/receive featured offers/deals?
When you are within walking distance of 313@somerset, you will receive one (1) application alert of a featured offer exclusive to Tring 313 users. Other offers/deals are also available for viewing via the ‘Offers’ section.

7. How do I download / purchase an offer?

From the Tring 313 alert, touch ‘View’ to go to the Offer Details page. On the Offer Details page, touch ‘Buy Now’ or ‘Get Now’. For new users, you will be required to sign up before downloading / purchasing any coupons.  For existing users, you are required to sign in. Choose payment method of choice – ‘Pay with PayPal’ or ‘Pay with Credit Card’. If you are an existing PayPal customer, you will be required to enter your username and password. If you are new to PayPal, please create a new account and sign in. Once the transaction is successful, you will receive the coupon in question.

8. I have downloaded Tring 313, but I am not receiving alerts. Why is this so?
Tring 313 utilizes location-based technology to send alerts to users and relies on individual users’ location settings. In order for alerts to be sent, Location Services should be set to ‘ON’. To do this, visit ‘Settings’ > ‘General’ > ‘Location Services’ > ‘ON’.  

9. What is meant by “walking distance”?
This refers to a pre-defined radius around 313@somerset and may be anywhere between 50-metres and 500-metres.

10. When can I redeem my purchase(s)?
Once purchased, your coupon can be redeemed at any time, including the same day, prior to the expiry date of the coupon and during 313@somerset’s and the retailer’s normal operating hours. For a selection of services and dining coupons, you may be required to make an advanced booking prior to the coupon expiry date. To avoid disappointment, please refer to specific coupon terms and conditions for more details.

11. My app crashed when I tried to buy a coupon.
If this has happened to you, please ensure that all apps running in the background have been closed off first, then try again. Follow the steps below to close off all apps running in the background:

(i) Press the Home button to ensure that you are at the Home screen
(ii) Double-press the Home button. The app tray will appear.
(iii) Tap and hold the Tring 313 icon. After a while, the app icons should be jiggling and minus (-) signs should appear on all top right hand corners.
(iv) Tap the minus (-) sign that corresponds to Tring 313. This action closes the app completely.
(v) Press the Home button once to stabilize apps again, and another time to exit to the Home screen.
(vi) Wait for 5 – 10 seconds before relaunching Tring 313 (by tapping the Tring 313 app icon).

12. I have feedback that I think would be a valuable addition in improving this app. How do I communicate these ideas to you?

13. I have just purchased a coupon not long ago but the coupon has not yet appeared in “My Coupons”. Why is this?

If you made your purchase through PayPal, it is highly likely that your transaction has timed out due to peak usage on the PayPal network. When you tap ‘Buy Now’, Tring 313 reserves the coupon (unique ID) as “purchased by you” for 15-minutes and will only confirm the purchase once payment has been processed by PayPal. Therefore, if you did not see the coupon in ‘My Coupons’, the transaction did not take place. Another purchase may then be made in 60-minutes.


14. I am unable to view any offers / deals on Tring 313 and my screen is not showing that it is loading. 
It is  likely that either your signal strength is weak, OR the network is experiencing high traffic volume at the time. As a guide, please follow the steps below to troubleshoot and rectify the issue:

(i) Check the signal strength on your mobile device (at least 3 bars is recommended)
(ii) If a wireless (Wi-Fi) network is available, connect to it for greater stability.
If your mobile device’s signal strength is good, attempt the following steps to resume normal functionality:
(iii) Press the Home button to ensure that you are at the Home screen
(iv) Double-press the Home button. The app tray should appear.
(v) Tap and hold the Tring 313 icon. After a while, the app icons should be jiggling and minus (-) signs should appear on all top right hand corners.
(vi) Tap the minus (-) sign that corresponds to Tring 313. This action closes the app completely.
(vii) Press the Home button once to stabilize apps again, and another time to exit to the Home screen.
(viii) Wait for 5 – 10 seconds before relaunching Tring 313 (by tapping the Tring 313 app icon).

15. If I am nowhere near the pre-defined radius of 313@somerset, can I still use the app?
Yes, users will still be able to use Tring 313 if they are not within the pre-defined radius of 313@somerset. You will still be able to view and purchase coupons, but will not receive any location-targeted alerts.
